THE BOOK OF EZEKIEL
Ezekiel was sent to bring the word of God to a people who, like many of us, were sad for the great and real loss they had suffered. In their sadness God sent them Ezekiel with his talk of sin and judgment. Not because He wanted to deepen the exiles’ depression but he wantsed to give them hope. A rich hope of restoration of relationship, of resurrection life, of a renewed creation, a hope God Himself will bring to fulfillment.
Ezekiel prompts us to consider our sin so that we can turn away from it and find the extraordinary comfort in loss God gives His repentant people.

THE GOSPEL OF JOHN (Chapters 1-12, 19, 20)
John was one of the closest disciples of Jesus. He was not only an eyewitness of the great signs that Jesus performed but he also wrote the words of Jesus so that those who believe in Jesus as God's Son and God's King would have true and lasting life in his name. In a world of darkness, Jesus is the light of life for all.

THE BOOK OF DEUTERONOMY
The people of God stand on the edge of the land that God has promised them. A land that the people had failed to take when God gave it to them. Deuteronomy is Moses' final sermon to the people - urging them to be love and obey the God who has been faithful to them.
OCTOBER - DECEMBER 2018 (Morning Services)
THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT (Matthew 5-7)
The Christian life is a radically confronting and compelling life. This is what Jesus teaches his followers in the sermon on the mount. To live like Jesus and for Jesus is counter-cultural and yet is attractive to others like no other lifestyle. These words of Jesus are as timeless and relevant as when Jesus first spoke them to his first followers.
OCTOBER - DECEMBER 2018 (Evening Service)
THE BOOK OF JAMES
The apostle James - the brother of Jesus - gives punchy, practical wisdom for followers of Jesus. The word of God planted in our lives can save us when we have faith in Jesus, but this faith needs to be lived out in genuinely changed lives.
