Staff Titles
Before Neil finished on March 30th the staff and session approved the following change of titles for the paid staff/ ministry team. This has been late in coming and I apologise for the delay. Since Helen started on the team in 2024, she has had a clear role in overseeing training in various areas at Bundy, but no clear title, and therefore regretfully, not even a listing on our website until recently. When Helen’s appointment was originally publicised her title was announced as, ‘training pastor’, but this caused some angst and disagreement in the congregation. The staff and session have not wanted to cause division over the matter of titles, but to seek and promote fellowship, peace and unity within the church (Psalm 34:14; Hebrews 12:14; Romans 12:18; Romans 14:13-20; Ephesians 2:13-22).
We have moved away from the language of ‘pastor’ to now use titles which don’t separate the male and female members of the ‘ministry team’. It has been a challenge to find titles that suit each person’s role and responsibility, which are consistent with the Code of the Presbyterian Church of Victoria (PCV), and consistent with our biblical and complementarian beliefs. We are thankful to God and that all in the congregation have sought to show grace to one another in the midst of some differences. I pray we shall continue to ‘pursue peace, what promotes peace and what builds up one another’ (Romans 14:19), as we continue in loving and serving our Lord Jesus together.
You shall see the use of ‘Director’ language below which is used in other evangelical, reformed and complementarian churches in Australia and overseas (eg. https://livingchurch.org.au/about/ https://redeemerdt.com/staff ). The language of ‘Minister’ or ‘Associate Minister’ comes directly from the PCV code and is applied to ordained ministers of the word and sacraments. Technically, Andy, Helen, Andrew and Clarissa are all ‘assistants to the minister’ according to the PCV code, with them assisting Neil in the Gospel ministry at Bundy. In an interim way, I have taken over leading them until the next senior minister is appointed.
All Christians are called to minister [serve] one another in love with the gifts and resources the Lord has entrusted to them [1 Corinthians 12-13, Galatians 5:13, 1 Peter 4:8-11]. At BPC we have the privilege of being able to set aside some of suitable character and gifts to do this full time by providing a living for them. All our ministry team are committed to making disciples of Jesus by proclaiming Christ and teaching, in varying contexts, believers to do all that our Lord has commanded and so enable the ministry of all.
In alphabetical order by surname:
WORD MINISTRY STAFF

She trains and encourages growth group leaders, women's ministry leaders and 5pm congregation leaders; helping them develop the bible knowledge, character and skills to serve Jesus and his people in these areas. She equips congregation members to evangelise and disciple others, has oversight of our Growth Groups program, is part of the 5pm leadership team, and by standing invitation of the Elders, attends Session.
Neil Chambers was the Minister (Senior Minister)
Neil was responsible for leading the ministry team and chairing Session [our elders meeting]. He also shared in the regular Sunday teaching ministry and pastoral work across our three congregations.

Clinton Le Page – Associate Minister
Clint is involved in preaching, teaching, and pastoral care of people in all congregations. He has facilitated marriage and parenting courses, has particular leadership responsibilities in the morning services and helps follow up new people there. These teams include the:
Thank you to all who serve. May God sustain you in that, and give us joy and unity in serving our Lord and Saviour together.
2025 Church Calendar
While Neil has retired, and the staff titles have changed slightly, our ministry focus and goals haven’t – we remain committed to seeing people become and grow as followers of Jesus (Matthew 28:18-20). The below calendar dates list events in the life of our church, however, we want these programs to serve the people, praying we will, as individuals and the body of Christ here, grow to maturity in him (Colossians 1:28).
Therefore, commenting on some of the events to come:
The main take away message of this is – congregational life and ministry goes on, there are lots of things to look forward to, and we pray you will commit to get involved (and encourage others to as well), as we spur one another on in living for Christ.
