A word from our speaker...

Romans 8 is about hope in the face of suffering.

It’s about the glory that will one day replace our groaning

Because let’s be honest, life in this world isn’t all that we would hope it to be.

Our experience of pain leads us to all sorts of questions about God:

If God is good and if God is powerful, why is my life like it is?

Where is God in this? And how do I survive this?

In Romans 8, we hear about the God who in Christ enters our world.

God doesn’t just watch us at a distance. In Christ he suffers with us. And he suffers for us And through his suffering one day our suffering will end.

Jesus is raised from the dead. This means suffering and death, grief and groaning don’t have the final word. Life and glory, that’s how it ends for those who trust in Jesus.

It’s a magnificent passage. We hope to see you there!
